Fripp Inlet Sunset

This image was taken in December 2019 on a day that had been mostly cloudy with a passing front. Leading up to sunset, things were not looking promising as we explored Hunting Island State Park, but we headed to a place on Fripp Inlet hoping for a last minute break in the clouds. That break came just after the sun dipped below the horizon. I rushed out from the bank to a spot in the mud and oyster beds where I could see there was a good opportunity to get some reflection off the mud that I was standing knee-deep in. Unfortunately I couldn’t get any of the dozens of fiddler crabs to pose or photobomb the pic!
